Out amid the endless seas
In a ship of blue and gray -
Peter Parker's maiden voyage
To places far away.
The mast is stripped of its sails
Like a wanton who is through;
The deckboards cry in agony
'Neath Parker's wooden shoe.
Whither he hails from no one knows;
Destination lies unknown -
"The journey is all that matters now",
Says Parker, all alone.
"For need we plan our trip, my friends
"When all roads lead to Rome?
"Meet 'ya where the journey ends-
"Make ya feel at home.
"Look yonder, where the fishes are -
"The sapphire skies above;
"Raindorps on your fingertips -
"Teardrops filled with love.
"And storms, they pass me by sometimes -
"Troubles, they come and go.
"Weathered through it all, you know,
"'Cause I love the sunshine so."
With that, Parker steers his ship,
Whither, he wouldn't say.
Set out on your maiden voyage...
Maybe he'll come your way.
Yours sincerely,
Jude
